Hi, it's Lynn, your adulting coach. I'm offering you my 3-2-1 Power UP Tool to get what you want. I've used this tool so many times to create what matters most to me. It's incredibly effective. And I've shared it with my graduates and with my members, both graduates and parents alike because it is so powerful. Here's the problem we set big macro goals. My graduates all want a good fit job. They all want to find the work that inspires them. With the people that they want to work with, to fuel their life with the money that they need. We like setting that I want to get that good fit job is it's going to take some time it's off in the future. So what what happens is when they you know, they wait too long, they do some efforts and they don't work and they just lose their pride. They lose the feeling of satisfaction of achieving because it's just too big. They keep worrying about what's going to go wrong. And so they quit too soon. The solution is to set micro goals. What we do is focus on our strengths and decide what the very next step is. That way we can practice inspiring thoughts on things we know we can get done that do matter. We imagine that future us we still keep that person in mind, who's got that great fit job, who's with people they like doing things they want to do and making the money that fuels their accounts. So they can have what they want. So, here's why we want to achieve because it fuels these hormones that aren't were put in place in the coding that our brains got from the very beginning inspires dopamine. That's how we seek reward. So the reward of a good job is important. But you know if we're just thinking about it inspires us for how long does that dopamine last few few minutes, maybe at most? We need to create the dopamine every step of the way. The oxytocin is that reward for building social alliances? So do we want to wait until we have that job to feel the oxytocin? No, we want to give it to ourselves every step of the way. And the serotonin that we get from earning respect from others and ourselves is going to fuel those actions that are going to get us what we want. Do we want to wait until we have that ball? No, we want those all along. So here's what we do every morning, or we can do it every night. But we first say what do we want? What is that micro goal? And the second are the three why's and the third step is why me and the fourth step is what exactly is the next step? So let me give you an example with our graduates who want a good fit goal, a good fit job. I want a good fit job that is close to home so that I do the work I love to do with the people I want to be around and earn the money that I really want to earn. All right, that's what we want a good fit job. So what is the three why's Why do I want that? Well, because I want to feel good about me exercising my strengths in my life. That's really important. I know that I need the money in order to get what I want. And I know that I have specific gifts that I want to offer to the world. Those are my three why's why me? Why do I believe that? I can get that good fit goal. Thinking again as an autistic graduate. Why me? Well, because I know that I can do the things that are required from this job because I have lots of past experience indicating that I can and the second thing is because I am determined I am not going to quit. That is one of my strengths. I have been done honorable spirit. And what's my next step? Well, my next step is to create a list of companies that I want to work for within 20 minutes driving minutes of my home. Okay, that's my next step. And I'm gonna do that today. So that's how we maximize motivation and minimize resistance. Pure sterile steel offers us this equation which is all motivation research. distilled into four words. First, how confident Am I that I can achieve what I'm setting myself out to do? I know that I can create a spreadsheet with you know, the list of companies where I want to work because that are within 20 minutes in my house because I know how to use Google Maps. I know how to use a Google sheet or whatever software you prefer. I know I can make this list. How important is it? Well, it's important for me to decide where I want to work so that I have a clear vision of where I'm going. And it's important for me to know enough about those companies. So that I could be a really good interviewee Plus, there just might be some people that my folks know or others know that I could find maybe on LinkedIn, that would give me some insights into that company so that I could be performed even better on the interview. And how easy is it to do with Well, it's, it's all up to me, it's easy. I can go to various places to get the information I need to compile that list, and how immediate is the reward for doing that what completing that task is using my strengths and it's giving me the satisfaction of knowing that I took another step toward achieving my macro goal. So these micro goals, maximize motivation and minimize resistance and that's what we need to do to get done what needs to get done if we go back to this three to one power up. I want the three wise I want it the three reasons why me why I believe I can do it, why I have confidence that I can do this next step, which is the third thing and I'm gonna go and do it. Try this. You will not believe what a difference it makes after doing this consistently for a month. Bye for now.
